The SKA (Square Kilometre Array) SA is planning to construct its new SKA SA Building in Cape Town. This building will accommodate both the SKA SA project staff and the international SKA project (SKA Science Operations Centre). The building will accommodate up to 230 people that includes SKA SA and SKAO staff.

Design Scape Architects proposal for the building features the successful integration of the client design brief and the technical complexities of the site which includes flooding, poor geotechnical conditions, heritage considerations being located next to the SAAO, which will be declared a National Heritage site, site size constraints and environmental constraints.
