If you've been lucky enough to view these buildings with your own eyes, count yourself lucky! Burj Khalifa Also known as the Burj Khalifa, the Burj Dubai has held the title of the world's tallest building since 2009. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this architectural gem stands at a whopping 828 metres into the air. The talent behind it belongs to Adrian Smith of the firm Skidmore, Owings & Merril, who also designed the One World Trade Centre after the tragic 9/11 attack in New York City in 2001.
