This is a new building in Masiphumelele, Noordehoek. Masiphumelele is an informal settlement that was in desperate need of a sports facility and associated sports grounds for the community.
The building consists of an administration wing which is in turn separated by a covered seating component. The administration wing is then separated by a passage from an indoor sports hall.
The building is roofed with a mono-pitch that falls to the north. The roofs is then accentuated by perpendicular face-brick walls that define the central access passage that organises the rooms and circulation of the building.
